DESIGN

Indigo Slate

I had the opportunity to work on multiple retail campaigns for Microsoft, and here are some of the assets at different stages of the campaign for the recently launched Surface devices.

Songwriters’ Forum

As a co-founder and creative director of Songwriter’s Forum at USC, I had the opportunity to pay attention to the smallest of details and have fun in coming up with a design strategy that represented us best. Here are a few samples of the promotional content I created, ranging from Instagram posts, to event banners and album materials.

Playing Cards

While designing a card game for an Interactive Systems Class, I took a detour and tried my hand at designing a standard card deck. I started by creating custom pips in Illustrator, and prototyping which layouts might work best. Wanting a traditional, minimal design that allowed for clear visibility, I chose to represent the increasing numbers with an increase in volume- creating a visual hierarchy that allowed for identification at a glance.

I’d been playing around in Daz Studio with posing characters for concept ideation, and found it quicker to visualize my ideas in a 3D space and render it as artwork for the Jack, Queen and King Cards. And for the finishing touch, I created models of the cards in 3ds Max to allow for these custom visual mockups.

Making Patterns

Playing around with silhouettes in Daz, bringing them into Photoshop to create patterns, and rendering them in 3ds max for visualization.

Waiting Room

A game that can be played in waiting rooms, that highlights different issues faced by students, not limited to healthcare.

Music Theory

I’ve been studying music theory in my spare time, and found a need to lay out information in a way that was easy to look up. While I didn’t intend on creating such a colorful chart, the colors themselves indicate the individual value of a note, though the note names may differ.

The gradation amongst the columns is intended to serve as a visual marker, letting one check common intervals such as the perfect fourth or fifth faster.
